Former Georgia men’s basketball coach Mark Fox is reportedly in talks to become the next head coach at Colorado State according to Justin Michael, a Colorado based reporter.

USA Today’s Dan Wolken backed up the report.

Fox spent nine seasons in Athens where he compiled a record of 163-133 and led Georgia to two NCAA Tournament berths. The Bulldogs missed the tournament the past three seasons. Fox was fired on Saturday, and Georgia elected not to accept a bid to the National Invitation Tournament.

The Rams parted ways with six-year head coach Larry Eustachy after the team went 11-21 this season.

Georgia has targeted Thad Matta and Tom Crean for the vacant position. Matta declined Georgia’s offer to become head coach on Wednesday.
