ESPN will lay off more employees before the calendar year is over, according to a report by Sporting News on Thursday.

The layoffs will reportedly target 40-60 people ranging from on-air personalities in television and radio to production staff in November and December.

Sporting News cited a source that said SportsCenter will be heavily hit. The source also said they see ESPN moving toward hiring production companies that provide thier own programs to fill air time.

“This time it won't matter if you're 'liked' or not. It's not going to be pretty,” a source said, according to Sporting News.

ESPN has not commented on the report as of Friday morning.

In April, ESPN laid off 100 employees including many on-air personalities and reporters in an effort to focus on "versatility and value", according to ESPN President John Skipper.
