Recruiting: Who's best at hooking commits?

A photo "hook, line and sinker" look at which SEC college football coaches have been the most successful at snagging top high school recruits for Signing Day 2009.

Georgia's Mark Richt wasn't able to pull Miller Grove WR Stephen Hill away from archrival Georgia Tech, but he snagged the state's No. 1 prospect, Branden Smith. Lowndes' Greg Reid remains a recruit of interest to the Bulldogs.

Alabama's Nick Saban nabbed a solid commitment from offensive guard Kellen Williams but missed out on top cornerback prospect Branden Smith, who opted for UGA. But Saban's making a late push for Lowndes' Greg Reid, who remains undecided.

In South Carolina, it's been a tough recruiting season for the Ol' Ball Coach. While Camden County's DeAngelo Smith is a firm commit, the Gamecocks lost Johnnie Farms to North Carolina and have been banned from future recruiting at Tucker High after pulling an offer from Jonathan Davis.

Florida won another national title and is being rewarded, at least among some Georgia prospects, with less-than-enthusiastic results. Urban Meyer's public lashing of former commit Greg Reid resulted in the Lowndes DB dropping the Gators from his list of schools. But Meyer continues working to get a commit from Carver-Columbus' Jarvis Jones and has tried to turn UGA commit Jordan Love Florida's way.
