Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson appeared on “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday and responded Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins saying he will not attend the White House if invited.

Watson, a former Georgia Bulldog and 2018 Walter Payton Man of the Year finalist, attended the White House ceremony in 2004 when the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl.

“I think the bigger thing, the broader thing is that sometimes because of what happens, because of certain political stances, guys don’t feel comfortable with going, so I’m behind Malcolm. I’m behind him 100 percent if he doesn’t want to go,” Watson said. “I probably would go out of respect for the office, if not the man in the office, but I think it points to a larger atmosphere that we’re in right now. Politics has become so divisive, such a tribal mentality where people go to their different corner.”

Jenkins, who is one of three Eagles to voice that they will not attend the White House ceremony if the team is invited, responded to Watson's interview late Tuesday on Twitter writing, "This is what they would love for us to believe.... but we're smarter than that."
