Many properties claim to be unique--this Castleberry Hill loft listed in Atlanta for $500,000 is the real deal.

The listing agent says the intown brick, four-sided construction has evolved from what were once the, ah, loading docks at the building. They were constructed in 1927 at 244 Peters Street SW. It sits on street level—corner space, baby!—with a private entrance and 3,277 square feet of interior, including two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Industrial? Funky? Eccentric? Contemporary with a capital "C"? Maybe all of those, from its 9-foot ceilings to its exposed brick and beams to the metal and lots and lots of air.

The space has mixed zoning and what the agent terms a "very commercial facade" so the eventual owner could accommodate an ultimate live/work space.

Whoever moves in will find lots of space and a big personality to match.
