The Dream’s point-guard carousel continued on Monday with the team releasing Niya Johnson and Ariel Massengale and claiming Jordan Jones off waivers.

Johnson was selected in the third round of the recent draft after leading Division I in assists at Baylor last season. She averaged two points and 2.3 assists in 13 minutes in three preseason games.

Massengale was selected in last year’s draft, and then sat out the 2015 season after recovering from an injury. She averaged one point in eight minutes in two preseason games.

Jones, a 5-6 point guard out of Texas A&M, was released by Chicago after being picked in the third round of this year’s draft.

She led the SEC in assists from 2013-16 and was a two-time conference defensive player of the year.

The team (0-3 in preseason) will host Los Angeles on Tuesday at McCamish Pavilion in its final preseason game. It will open its season at San Antonio on Saturday.
