Photos: Wrigley Field celebrates 100 years
The home of the Chicago Cubs is celebrating 100 years. It opened on April 23, 1914. When the stadium opened, the Cubs were named the Federals, not adopting the name Cubs until 1916, after being the Whales for one season. Wrigley stayed in the dark, so to speak, until 1988 when it was the last MLB ballpark to install lights.
