Former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm was a member of the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad at the end of November.

Less than two weeks later, he could start his first NFL game - with the New York Giants.

The fifth-round pick in 2020 was signed off Buffalo’s practice squad and dressed for the Giants in last week’s 20-9 loss to the Dolphins. Starter Daniel Jones hasn’t been cleared for contact after suffering a neck injury and backup Mike Glennon remains in concussion protocol.

That leaves Fromm, who has been with the team less than two weeks, as the starter for the Dec. 12 game against the Chargers if Glennon isn’t cleared.
