Alabama coach Nick Saban took time during his press conference on Wednesday to take a jab at the media and their season predictions.

After being asked a question about redshirt sophomore linebacker Christian Miller, Saban responded with a mid-season caliber rant.

"You guys make all these predictions about everything about guys that are going to be great players that have been here for two years and who's going to win all the games and I don't even know why we play,” Saban said. “Why do we even have practice? Why do we compete? Why do we coach guys on how they need to improve? I mean you guys got all the answers to I mean how guys are going to be, what they're going to do. I don't even know. Sometimes I wonder 'Why do we play?'"
