Former Georgia men’s basketball coach Mark Fox penned his goodbye to Bulldog fans on Twitter.
As my time ends at Georgia, I would like to thank everyone who assisted us along the way. Your support will always be genuinely appreciated by my family and I. We carry some great memories and friendships away with us.

I hope God’s grace shall touch each of you.
The University of Georgia announced Saturday the firing of Fox.
In a statement, athletic director Greg McGarity confirmed the reports.
“In the end, I felt like we have not reached our full potential as a basketball program. I really thought we were on the way to turning the corner this year. We just did not achieve the level of success as a program that I believe we should at the University of Georgia.”
