Marathon poster design chosen

Denise Francis’ design was selected Tuesday as the winner for the poster for the Publix Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon, which will be held Sunday. Francis, a Fairburn native who is a graphic-design student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, received a $1,500 scholarship. Her design, which features a runner made up of orange, red and yellow dots of various sizes and shapes breaking the tape at the finish line, beat out 63 other entries, all done by SCAD students.
