The University of Dayton men’s club lacrosse team and Western Michigan's team found an interesting way to settle a scrimmage on Saturday.

The game was tied when it was canceled by lightning, so the teams used a best-of-three game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to determine a winner.

The Broncos won 2-0.

Adam Wissman, a junior midfielder from Fishers, Indiana, represented Dayton in the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" game.

"It was all in the spur of the moment," Wissman said. "We had driven a long way to play, so I guess we had to compete on some level. I asked one of the guys to play a game of 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' to decide a winner, and then a mob of teammates just surrounded us. Overall, (it was a) pretty tough loss for UD, but we'll recover."

The teams play in the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association. Their fall practice season is underway; the official season starts in the spring.
