Kyle Korver stands alone.

Korver set the NBA record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer at 90 with a long-range basket Friday night against the Cavaliers.

Korver was tied with Dana Barros.

The history maker came with 5:20 remaining in the first quarter.

The Hawks recognized the accomplishment with a video tribute at the next timeout. Korver was greeted by teammates as he returned to the bench.

Perhaps the history making 3-pointer was inevitable.

When asked before the game if he would take any satisfaction in snapping Korver’s streak, Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said, “No. We are not going to stop Kyle Korver from making a 3 or 3s. You just try to make him work as hard as you can. Try to contest every shot. While you are contesting every shot you pray that he misses. He’s that good of a shooter. He brings a lot to the table for these guys. I’m not worry about his streak because he is a great player. He is great at what he does.”
