How the winning run scored: Two walks, two singles and a Tyler Patsornicky throwing error led to a 2-0 lead for Charlotte in the second inning and the G-Braves never recovered Sunday afternoon at Knights Stadium. Gwinnett has lost four of its last five and six of its last eight games.

At the plate: Gwinnett was limited to three singles and a Ernesto Mejia double, his 23rd of the year. Brandon Boggs recorded the G-Braves' only RBI with a third-inning single. Gwinnett stranded eight runners.

On the mound: Gwinnett starter Joe Bisenius (3-4) allowed four runs (three earned) in five innings, striking out five and walking two. Signed last month out of Lincoln (Neb.) in the independent American Association, he has lost four of his last five starts.

What's next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves conclude the four-game series with Charlotte with a 12:15 p.m. matinee in Fort Mill, S.C. Gwinnett is idle on Tuesday before hosting the Knights for a three-game series.
