The Bulldogs had their eyes on a BCS bowl entering the season behind an experienced  offense led by quarterback Aaron Murray.

But several key injuries on offense, including the top two receivers, top two running backs and even Murray late in the season, and consistent struggles on defense spelled doom for UGA in its 8-4 season.
