Kennesaw State holds practice with helmets

The Owls were broken up into offensive and defensive units where they worked on fundamentals, moving from drill-to-drill and finished up with full offensive and defensive run-throughs.

After three weeks of conditioning and weight training, Monday's practice marked the first time Kennesaw State concentrated primarily on football work.

Kennesaw State will be back on the field on Wednesday before holding its practice in full pads on Friday.

Chandler Burks, of South Paulding, was among the Owls' first commits.

The team will open its inaugural season in 2015 when it travels to Johnson City, Tenn., to take on East Tennessee State.
