For a change, Georgia Tech’s annual grudge match with Virginia Tech will not need lights. ESPN has scheduled the game for noon, the first time it won’t be a prime-time weeknight game since the Yellow Jackets’ win in 2009 at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPNU. The network will be announced after Saturday’s games.

The 2010, 2011 and 2013 games between the Hokies and Jackets were Thursday night ESPN matchups and the 2012 game was played on Labor Day night.

If both teams can win Saturday – Virginia Tech against East Carolina and Georgia Tech against Georgia Southern – it will be a matchup of 3-0 teams that has been a pivotal ACC game in recent seasons.
