Iron Bowl becomes highest-rated college football game of the season
The Iron Bowl on Saturday was the most-watched game on any network this season, according to Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch.
The game, which ended in a 26-14 win for No. 6 Auburn over No. 1 Alabama, recorded a 7.8 overnight ranking.

Auburn-Alabama: 7.8 overnight (highest overnight rating on any network for 2017 CFB season)
Ohio State-Michigan: 6.7 (best-ever metered market rating for a regular-season CFB game on Fox)
Deitsch also reported the Ohio State-Michigan game from Saturday drew an overnight rating of 6.7, the best metered market rating for a regular-season college football game on Fox.
Auburn will face Georgia in the SEC Championship game on Saturday at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
