The snowstorms throughout the Mid-Atlantic region delayed the Thrashers' arrival in Atlanta -- and the start of Saturday night's game.

The Thrashers' game against the Florida Panthers at Philips Arena started at around 8 p.m., an hour later than scheduled. At about 4 p.m. the team announced a delay of 30 minutes, but the team's arrival at the arena took longer than expected.

The team played the Washington Capitals on Friday night in D.C. and traveled by bus to Richmond, Va.

Team officials and players left Richmond International Airport at about 4 p.m. for the hour-plus flight to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
