Razor thin: Marietta earns tough verdict over Powder Springs Hillgrove

Marietta found the tipping point, and leaned on it to knock off Powder Springs Hillgrove 14-10 for a Georgia high school football victory on October 7.

Marietta opened with a 7-0 advantage over Powder Springs Hillgrove through the first quarter.

The Hawks came from behind to grab the advantage 10-7 at halftime over the Blue Devils.

Marietta broke in front at the beginning of the final quarter with a 14-10 lead over Powder Springs Hillgrove.

The scoreboard was in hibernation in the fourth quarter, with neither team scoring.

In recent action on September 23, Marietta faced off against Buford and Powder Springs Hillgrove took on Carrollton on September 23 at Carrollton High School. For a full recap, click here.
