Miller Grove defensive coordinator Niketa Battle is the new head coach at Morrow.

Battle is returning to Clayton County, where he was defensive coordinator at Mount Zion in Jonesboro in 2007. He was at Miller Grove in 2008 and 2009.

"I have seen them in the past at quarterback/receiver camps, and there has always been an attraction to the program for me," Battle, a Tifton native, told the Tifton Gazette in this story. "I have always had my eye on Morrow."

Battle played high school ball at Tift County (1992 graduate) and college football at Savannah State and Georgia Southern.

Morrow was 1-19 in two seasons under Larry Mortonson.
