William Lester, the high school coach of Atlanta natives Richard Dent and Mo Lewis, passed away on Tuesday. Lester coached at Murphy from 1973 to 1987 and Crim from 1988 to 1995 and had a 126-108-5 record. His final two Crim teams each were 9-0 in the regular season. Dent of the Chicago Bears and Lewis of the New York Jets, who are Murphy alumni, were his most prominent players.
