DEMARCUS SHEROD: Oklahoma State ‘made me feel needed'

Demarcus Sherod, a middle linebacker at Columbia High School, said he signed with Oklahoma State because they made him feel needed.

He took an official visit to Stillwater, Okla. last year -- his first time in the Sooner State -- and visited officially earlier this year.

Had he not signed with the Cowboys, Sherod said he likely would have signed with Auburn, the national champs.

He said he'll most remember the good feeling he would get when the coaches would tell him how much they wanted him. He said he couldn't believe the amount of money some schools are spending on improving their facilities.

He hopes to major in economics with the idea of being a money manager, or veterinary sciences.
