The Week 4 winner of the Falcons Coach of the Week, presented by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, is a Hall of Famer in the state of Georgia.

Each winner of the Coach of the Week program receives a $1,000 grant for their football program, a commemorative Falcons item and recognition from the Falcons and eAtlanta Journal-Constitution.from 2008-14. He also has coached at Central Gwinnett and Ridgeland.

His nomination credits Tankersley with “building back a program” that last won its region in 2011. The 4A Toccoa school is off to a 5-0 start in 2021.

He devotes his time, his nomination continues, “to make and mold young men in our community, making sure that the young men have that opportunity to ‘win today.’ ... Coach Tankersley is a great role model for all kids in our community.” | Nominate a coach
