As a junior, he threw for 4,011 yards and 50 touchdowns and rushed for 1,430 yards and 24 touchdowns while leading the Red Elephants to their first state championship in school history.

What's interesting: Watson is the state's best prospect at quarterback since former Westlake High School standout Cam Newton. He committed to Clemson when he was a sophomore. Watson averaged 12 points and four rebounds on Gainesville's basketball, the state runner-up last season to Miller Grove.
