Don’t concede the state’s rushing title to Nick Chubb just yet.

North Oconee junior Kawon Bryant is gaining ground after a school-record 368 yards Friday against Athens Christian. That doubled his rushing output for the season, putting him at 736. That’s 245.3 yards per game.

Chubb, a senior from Cedartown, has 989 yards overall, but he has played four games and has averaged 247.3.

Both made the list for the AJC/GHSF Daily’s top performances this week.
