Etowah was missing its leading rusher in last week’s showdown with Milton, but the understudy became the star of the game. Raishod Devezin scored on a 71-yard run and made two other 65-yard runs that set up touchdowns in a 24-15 victory that improved Etowah to 6-0 for the first time since 1987.

The state’s top five
- Devezin rushed for 351 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 24-15 victory against previously unbeaten Milton.
- Colquitt County RB Sihiem King rushed for 170 yards, caught five passes for 126 more and scored both of his team's touchdowns in a 17-14 victory over Tift County.
- Emanuel County Institute RB James Brown rushed for 249 yards and scored five touchdowns on only nine carries (27.6 yards per carry) in a 69-27 victory against Wheeler County.
- Jackson-Atlanta QB Keenan Moore threw six touchdown passes, completing 24 of 43 attempts for 409 yards, in a 40-14 victory against Rockmart. He also rushed for 84 yards.
- Washington County RB Melvin Hill rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries in a 36-33 victory against Lovett.
Others in metro Atlanta
- B.E.S.T. Academy RB Deshawn Waller scored three touchdowns and rushed for 171 yards on eight carries in a 41-7 victory over Haralson County. Linebackers Maleke Smith and Darius Marshall had 12 tackles each.
- Cherokee WR Blace Brown caught 14 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-27 victory over county-rival Woodstock. LB Michael Bean had 18 tackles.
- Christian Heritage QB Trevor Brown was 18-of-28 passing for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-0 victory over Gordon Lee. He has thrown for 1,485 yards and 18 touchdowns this season.
- Collins Hill QB Tyler Herman passed for 439 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-28 victory over Peachtree Ridge. WR Myron Burton had 10 catches for 174 yards.
- Creekside DL Lawrence Curtis had 10 tackles, five for losses, in a 37-3 victory over Starr's Mill.
- Forest Park RB DaJuann Simms rushed for 175 yards on 31 carries in a 27-12 loss to Drew.
- Hillgrove RB Richardre Bagley rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-21 victory over Pebblebrook.
- Lithonia QB Rico Burton rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 171 and one touchdown in a 22-18 victory over Stone Mountain.
- Locust Grove DB Cortez McDowell intercepted a pass, returned a fumble 99 yards for a touchdown and caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime in a 31-24 victory over Dutchtown. McDowell also had 12 tackles, five solo, and two for losses.
- Luella DE Malik Skinner had 12 tackles, 2.5 sacks and another tackle for a loss in a 37-0 victory over Druid Hills.
- McEachern QB Ty Clemons rushed for 240 yards on 10 carries and scored on runs of 38, 12 and 95 yards in a 49-35 victory over Campbell. He was 7-of-12 passing for 86 yards and a touchdown.
- Mount Paran Christian RB Emoni Williams rushed for 129 yards on five carries, caught two passes for 68 yards and scored four touchdowns, one on an interception return, in a 45-3 victory over King's Ridge.
- North Hall QB/DB Andrew Smith rushed for 226 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass in a 56-31 victory against East Hall. Smith made eight tackles on defense.
- North Oconee QB Tate Adcock was 16-of-22 passing for 290 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-14 victory over Morgan County.
- Whitewater RB Christian Wafford rushed for 200 yards on 22 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 17-6 victory over Northgate.
