One play can summarize the Atlanta Hawks’ grit during Monday’s 110-107 loss to the Boston Celtics.

In the second quarter, Celtics point guard Terry Rozier lost control of the ball. Hawks’ Malcolm Delaney dove on the floor pushing the ball to midcourt, past Rozier.

Dennis Schroder ran down the floor and saved the ball from going out of bounds then passed quickly to Hawks center Dewayne Dedmon under the basket. The 7-foot Dedmon reached up and dunked the ball, giving the Hawks a 32-31 lead.

The Hawks’s next game will be on the road against the Detroit Pistons on Friday at 7 p.m.
