How the game was won: Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 28 points, but it was the bench that led the way during the fourth quarter. Mike Scott and Shelvin Mack scored Atlanta's first 16 points and 18 of 20 starting the final period, sparking a decisive 22-5 run as the Hawks opened a 92-78 lead with over four minutes remaining. Scott and Paul Millsap each scored 17 points while Mack had 13.

Turning point: The Hawks trailed 73-70 early in the fourth quarter and neither team held more than a three-point lead in the second half. Scott sank two free throws at the start and end of a 12-0 spurt that put Atlanta ahead for good at 82-73 with 6:53 remaining.
