Jackets vs. Dogs in Cohan Cup: Former Georgia Tech standout Roberto Castro is trying to help an old friend and put a new wrinkle on the rivalry with Georgia by hosting the Cohan Cup.

The 18-hole match features Castro and former teammate Cameron Tringale in a head-to-match against former Bulldogs Chris Kirk and Russell Henley. The match will be Sept. 30 at the Atlanta Athletic Club, with proceeds benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Castro was looking for a way to raise money for leukemia research in honor of former teammate Adam Cohan, who was stricken with a rare form of the disease that would have been fatal a decade ago. Cohan’s disease is in remission and his long-term prognosis is good.

To get an idea of its scarcity, the last albatross on a par 4 recorded in professional golf was by Paul Lawrie at the 2009 British Open.
