Daly to play Mitsubishi Classic at TPC Sugarloaf

John Daly will be back.

The two-time major champion will play in the PGA Tour Champions Mitsubishi Electric Classic next month. The tournament announced on Thursday that Daly, David Toms and Jay Haas will among those to compete in the tournament April 9-15 at TPC Sugarloaf.

Also expected to compete are Tom Watson, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Bernhard Langer.

Daly, 51, competed in the event last year for the first time and finished tied for 12th.

Toms, 51, had seven top-10 finishes in his first year on the senior tour last year. The 2001 PGA Championship winner, done at Atlanta Athletic Club, has three top-10 finishes in four starts this year.
