Atlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk sat down for his first interview since being named Hawks GM last week.

In the interview with the Hawks, Schlenk was asked a few questions about his personal and professional life such as his relationship with his family, his season coaching at the University of Georgia and his role models throughout his career.

Schlenk, the former assistant general manager for the Golden State Warriors, was also asked what the best piece of advice he received before coming to Atlanta.

"Obviously, I've received a ton of great advice,” Schlenk said. “One of the biggest pieces is to (try to not) get overwhelmed and make too many changes at once. And that's kind of what I've implemented here is there's so many new things happening, so many decisions that have to be made quickly. Don't get influenced by outside noise, just stick with what's in the room right now and that's what I'm really focused on right now.”

Schlenk’s full interview with the Hawks can be watched below.
