Georgia Tech has added depth on the offensive line through the transfer portal.

Former Princeton offensive lineman Connor Scaglione, a two-year starter who can play guard and tackle, announced his commitment Friday to play for the Yellow Jackets next season as a grad transfer. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Scaglione, 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, also had reported scholarship offers from Houston, Coastal Carolina and Nevada-Las Vegas, among other schools. He played right tackle and right guard for the Tigers, who tied for second in the Ivy League. Scaglione earned honorable-mention all-Ivy honors last season.

Scaglione will bring experience to a position group that doesn’t have much past the likely starting unit. He’ll make a big jump in level of play from the Ivy League to a power-conference league, but it’s one that others have made previously with success. North Carolina, Duke, UCLA and Notre Dame were among teams that had former Ivy Leaguers playing regular snaps on the offensive or defensive lines last season.
