Georgia Tech’s game Saturday night against Virginia provides the Yellow Jackets with another chance for a big victory.

Given that Clemson and North Carolina have sunk well below those false preseason accolades, a re-evaluation of the schedule seems to show that the Jackets’ toughest opponent to date was Pitt, and Virginia is nipping at the Panthers’ heels in the ACC Coastal Division standings.

The Pitt game didn’t turn out well for Tech, and it was a home game. That game also came a week after defeating North Carolina, an outcome that may have given Tech players – and fans -- a false sense of accomplishment.

Virginia comes after a bye week.
