Georgia Tech received its first commitment for the 2022 signing class, lining up another four-star prospect for its stocked backfield. Langston Hughes High running back Antonio Martin announced his decision Monday night.

Martin is rated the No. 26 player in the state (247Sports Composite) and has reported scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida, Miami and others. There is only one running back in the state ranked ahead of him. Martin’s offer from Tech, which he announced in October 2019, was among his first.

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, Martin continues the string of high-profile running backs whom Yellow Jackets running backs coach Tashard Choice has recruited, starting with Jamious Griffin (a four-star prospect in the 2019 class) and Jahmyr Gibbs (another four-star back in the 2020 class).
