Georgia Tech sophomore guard Josh Okogie is already receiving high praise in a 2019 NBA mock draft.

According to ESPN.com's Jonathan Givony, Okogie is projected to be a first-round selection in next year's NBA draft. Givony has the 6-foot-4 Snellville native as the 26th-best prospect overall.

Okogie leads the Yellow Jackets in minutes per game (35.8) and points per game (18.6). He was suspended for the first six games of the season for accepting benefits in violation of NCAA rules. This was after a solid freshman campaign in which Okogie was named to the ACC All-Freshman team and made the 2017 USA Basketball U19 team that competed in the FIBA U19 World Cup.

If Okogie’s projection remains true, then he would become the first Yellow Jacket drafted in the opening round since Iman Shumpert was taken 17th overall by the New York Knicks in 2011.
