Georgia Tech’s Corey Griffin named to Senior Bowl watch list

Georia Tech defensive back Corey Griffin was named to the 2018 Senior Bowl Watch List.

The senior from Tyrone, Ga. was among the ACC’s top 30 players on the watch list after recording 82 tackles at safety last season.

In three seasons at Georgia Tech, the Sandy Creek High School graduate racked up 118 tackles and three interceptions.

The 2018 Senior Bowl will be held on Jan. 27, 2018 in Mobile, Ala. and will feature the top student-athletes competing in an NFL showcase.

One of the most recent Yellow Jackets to particiapte in the Senior Bowl was former quarterback Justin Thomas in 2017. Fifty-eight Georgia Tech players have particpated in the Senior Bowl since its creation in 1950.
