What a way to spend a birthday.

Falcons wide receiver Justin Hardy, who celebrated his 26th birthday on Monday, scored a touchdown to open the scoring in Atlanta’s game against the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

The Falcons drove 62 yards in nearly five minutes to go up 7-0 with 6:58 to go in the first quarter. Quarterback Matt Ryan found Hardy on a third-and-goal from the 6-yard line. The touchdown grab was Hardy’s third of the season.

Ryan went 6 of 7 for 65 yards on the drive, including a 27-yard throw to Hardy.
