After Georgia was first to punt on its opening possession of the Rose Bowl, Oklahoma led by Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield moved swiftly down the field to take an early 7-0 lead.

The Sooners moved the football down to the Bulldogs 13-yard line when Mayfield faked the handoff to running back Rodney Anderson, rolled out to his right and hit wide receiver Marquise Brown in the end zone for the touchdown.

Mayfield went 4-for-4 for 63 yards on the scoring drive which went 80 yards in six plays in two minutes and one second.
