Some things you may not have known about Georgia star Todd Gurley.

Here’s 10 fun facts about Georgia star running back Todd Gurley. 1. His birthday is August 3. So you missed it.

2. He was born in 1994. That year, a Georgia team led by Eric Zeier, Hines Ward and Terrell Davis finished 6-4-1. Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo was a backup QB on that team, Florida coach Will Muschamp played on the defense, and future NFL running back standout Robert Edwards played defense.

3. He is used to winning titles. His Tarboro,N.C., High team won three consecutive 2A State Championships.

4. Gurley also played safety as a junior in high school. He had 79 tackles and an interception that season.

5. Gurley also ran track in high school and participated in the hurdles at the 2011 World Youth Championships in France.

6. Rivals.com ranked four running backs ahead of him as a high school senior in 2012: Johnathan Gray, T.J. Yeldon, Trey Williams and Mario Pender. Scout.com rated him as the 13th-best running back in the nation.

7. Gurley is all business with a football in his hands but his college major is pre-business.

8. Gurley did not start at tailback in his first college game. Ken Malcome started against Buffalo on Sept. 1, 2012 but Gurley had 100 yards on eight carries.

9. He’s played 25 games for the red and black at UGA and has rushed for 100 yards or more in 13 of them.

10. He’s averaging 6.4 yards per carry in his career at Georgia in 402 carries (2,572 yards).
