Former Yellow Jacket joins Georgia Southern football staff

Former Georgia Tech defensive back Jamal Golden has joined the Georgia Southern football coaching staff as a graduate assistant.

In five seasons as a Yellow Jacket, Golden recorded 169 tackles, eight interceptions, four forced fumbles and one touchdown.

Golden graduated from Georgia Tech prior to his senior season with a degree in business administration.

In 2016, Golden signed an free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 3 and released a few weeks later on Aug. 29.
