Thirteen-year NFL veteran Benjamin Watson has signed a one-year deal with his former team, the New Orleans Saints, according to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Watson, a former tight end for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2001-2003, played with the Baltimore Ravens the past two seasons, but sat out in 2016 due to a torn Achilles suffered in the 2016 preseason.
The Saints attempted to bring back former tight end Jimmy Graham— currently on the Green Bay Packers roster— but instead signed Watson who spent the 2013-2015 seasons with the Saints, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
