Twins pitcher Jaime Garcia got a win in his first start since being traded by the Braves Friday night.

Garcia pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three earned runs and eight hits in Minnesota’s 6-3 victory over the A’s in Oakland.

Garcia struck out seven and walked three and helped the Twins end a four-game losing streak.

The Braves traded Garcia and catcher Anthony Recker and cash to Minnesota on Monday in exchange for minor-league pitcher Huascar Ynoa.

Garcia, who has won his last three starts, worked out of jams in the second and third innings.

Former Braves catcher Ryan Lavarnway hit a two-run double in the fourth for Oakland.
