FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, the franchise's all-time leading receiver, had his streak of 130 consecutive regular-season games with at least one catch snapped against the New York Giants on Sunday.

The last time White played in a game and didn't catch a pass was against the Washington Redskins on Dec. 3, 2006. After that game, White had a catch in the final four games of that season. Click here to see the career game-by-game log for White.

“Just didn’t get the ball,” White said. “We are 2-0. It doesn’t matter.”

Falcons coach Dan Quinn wasn’t aware of the streak.

“That’s just the way the game played out,” Quinn said. “On one (play), I remember the safety going right over to his side. There was some game-planning on their part as well.”

White played in 16 games for six straight consecutive seasons with a catch before being injury in 2013. He played 13 games that season and had at least one catch in each game.

Last season, he had at least catch in all 16 games. He had four catches for 84 yards in the season-opener victory over the Eagles.

White only had one target against the Giants and didn’t catch a pass, while Leonard Hankerson, the team’s slot receiver had 11 targets and made six catches for 77 yards and one touchdown.

White has played in 157 regulars season games and he’s caught at least one pass in 149 games. He had four games as a rookie in 2005, when he didn’t catch a pass and three games in 2006. Now, he has one game in the 2015 season.

White played 57 of the 72 offensive snaps (79 percent) against the Giants. He was in good spirits after the game.

Before the game, he felt fine after his elbow surgery. He did point out that the Giants had better cornerbacks than the ones he faced against the Eagles.

“This is a different week, a different team,” White said. “To me, they have better corners than the guys we played last week. It will be different.”
