The AJC's Michael Cunningham says we love the National Football League more than ever, no matter how often or how egregiously the NFL shows it doesn’t deserve the affection.

Violence, cheating, brain injuries, performance-enhancing drugs? It doesn't matter to us. The NFL can do whatever it wants and people will keep watching as long as it entertains.
