Schraeder was pulled after penalty

Dec 14, 2015

Falcons right tackle Ryan Schraeder, who had two skirmishes after the whistle, was benched after picking up unsportsmanlike penalty in the fourth quarter, Falcons coach Dan Quinn said on Monday.

Jake Long, a former No. 1 overall draft pick, replaced Schraeder and played 10 of 64 of the offensive snaps.

Quinn said the move wasn’t permanent.

“It’s the same competition as we’ve had,” Quinn said. “It was a coaching decision that I made in the ball game.”

Schraeder was the highest graded offensive player by profootballfocus.com. Schraeder allowed just one quarterback hurry on 40 pass blocks.
