Schraeder out with concussion, Upshaw out with ankle injury

Sept 18, 2017

Falcons starting right tackle Ryan Schraeder suffered a concussion during a block on Devonta Freeman’s one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Packers. He was declared out for the remainder of the game.

Schraeder was replaced by Ty Sambrailo, who the team acquired in a trade with the Broncos near the end of training camp on Sept. 1.

In addition, defensive tackle Courtney Upshaw suffered an ankle injury and was declared out of the game. He was injured in the first quarter on the Packers’ first offensive possession.
