Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan banged his left thumb late against the Saints and finished the game playing with a glove.
Ryan said he didn’t think the injury was serious and that he used the glove to make sure he had a strong grip on the ball.
Ryan completed 20 of 30 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns. He finished with a passer rating of 113.2.
Also, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu suffered an injured shoulder and did not return to the game.
Sanu had three catches for 31 yards before suffering the shoulder injury.
