The San Francisco 49ers are the only team to have worn a throwback or alternate uniform in a Super Bowl. The 49ers defeated the Chargers 49-26 at Miami’s Joe Robbie Stadium in 1995.
The Patriots, it’s been noted on Twitter, are 3-2 in the Super Bowl when wearing white road unis:

One of those losses came in last year’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The St. Louis Rams team that won the Super Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta in 2000 wore white jerseys and yellow pants.
The Rams, who are making their fourth Super Bowl appearance, are 0-2 in Super Bowls against teams wearing non-white pants. The Patriots will don blue britches.
