NFL combine invite list has Georgia, Georgia Tech players
Four players from Georgia and four from Georgia Tech were on the official invite list for the NFL scouting combine that will be held Feb. 24 through March 2 in Indianapolis.
Defensive tackle Geno Atkins, defensive tackle Jeff Owens, safety Reshad Jones and linebacker Rennie Curran were the invited Bulldogs.
Running back Jonathan Dwyer, defensive back Morgan Burnett, defensive linemen Derrick Morgan and wide receiver DeMaryius Thomas were the invited Yellow Jackets.
Some other local players invited to the combine include Tennessee defensive back Eric Berry (Creekside High), Tennessee offensive lineman Chris Scott (Lovejoy), Kentucky cornerback Trevard Lindley (Hiram), Troy defensive end Brandon Lang (Tucker) and South Carolina linebacker Eric Norwood (North Cobb).
